Ramjas Primary School, Darya Ganj celebrated the 76th Independence Day of India with great patriotic fervour and zeal. In line with the celebration of 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav', the school was adorned in tricolour look. The programme of the day started by extending a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, Dr. Sudhir Choudhary, the school Chairman Sh. Raj Nath Gupta, the school Manager Sh. Rajendra Mohan, the Education Co-ordinator, Ramjas Foundation, Sh. J.C. Pahuja, Principal, Ramjas Girls Senior Secondary School, Mrs. Sushma Shiromani and parents of Std. Ill students amongst other distinguished guests. After the hoisting of tricolour by the Chief Guest and pledge taking ceremony, Vande Mataram was sung by a group of children followed by a systematic march past signifying methodology and perseverance.
Then, the Chief Guest and all the dignitaries were honoured with planters and souvenirs by the Principal Mrs. Sonia Datta. The cultural extravaganza comprising of Ganesh Vandana, a heartfelt speech, a joyous dance confluencing India's culture, a melodious group song, an exotic Goan dance, an energetic Punjabi dance and a contemporary Fusion act left the audience mesmerized.
The Chief Guest Dr. Sudhir Choudhary in his address, extended his heartfelt congratulations for the celebration and commended all the performances. He urged students to realize, understand and cherish our coveted freedom and work towards a progressive nation. The school Chairman Sh. Raj Nath Gupta moved everyone's heart by delivering his address to the gathering. A deeply enriching vote of thanks was proposed by the school Manager Sh. Rajendra Mohan and the programme concluded by singing the National Anthem. The audience appreciated the efforts of the school for putting up a great show. At the-end, sweets were distributed to spread happiness around.
